My First Basketball Game

Once upon a time, I was playing basketball. It was a lot of fun! I liked it when my team was on offense. My defense was really good and so was my hustle. There were 2 buzzers but only 1 was on. Weird, huh? We played 4 10-minute periods. I liked my coach and my team mates. We didn't know who won because they didn't keep score on the scoreboard. My next game is next Saturday. We even get snacks and drinks after the game. The End.

p.s. from mom. The smile in the picture says it all. There are 4 half-court games going on at one time. That makes it hard for our little fellow to concentrate. So he'd zone in and out as the game wore on. Sometimes he'd skip or lie on the floor. He really has the concept of defense down but offense, that's when the zoning took place. It's more of a 'pickup' game so the teams change from one week to another. Parents coach and ref and do it all. It's pretty fun to watch! Most of the kids had the same smile plastered on their faces.
